My vision of the lovely toadstool daughter of Princess Peach and Mario.
I often doodle during my classes. It keeps me alert and I retain lecture info better. Well today the end result of my sketches was a design for a nymph-like orchid lady. As I was thinking about what I could do with it, I decided to maybe make it a tiny fairy instead. As I was sketching, I realized that she looked somewhat looked like Princess Peach ~ the next thing I knew I was embracing the idea of making her a Mario character. And this is the final result!

Self-critique: I absolutely LOVE how this turned out. I think I could have done more to make the style more reflective of the Mario franchise, but she still looks great. Maybe I could have tried harder and added some sort of background or environment? Even if I had just inserted one digitally....
